BEHIND THE VAIL

In heaven, the sky is endless. The light is ever consuming. His presence is palpable; An experience that words cannot express; that the mind cannot conceive. Yet, it is more real than what we know to be real. It’s what our soul longs for. It longs for rest. It longs for home; A home with no end; A home with everlasting peace. Heaven is real and it is waiting for all those who call on the name of Jesus.

As I began to pray to the Lord, He immediately took me in the Spirit. As I became aware of being with the Lord in heaven, I immediately saw clear and pure water cupped in my hands. I cannot begin to express how beautiful and surreal this experience was. As I stared at the water, I heard the Lord speak to me. He said, “Son, tell my children that I want to refresh them.” Immediately, I had a sense that the water in my hands was for me to splash on my face and to be refreshed. I don’t know if this is something you do, but when I don’t feel clean or fresh, I go and splash some cool water on my face and it is like an instant refreshing. The difference with this water is that I knew it would refresh my body, spirit, and most importantly, my weary soul.

The Lord continued to speak. He said, “My son, tell my children to let me refresh them.”

I asked, “How Lord? How can I explain this to them? What do they need to do?"

He replied, "My son, tell them to rest in me; to lay down or sit in a comfortable place and just open their souls to me.” I perceived immediately that in that state of rest, He would begin to refresh them with heavenly water: Not water that we could see, but that we could perceive as we rest in that moment.

He then told me this verse:

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is comfortable, and My burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 NASB

Here are my thoughts on the matter: The battles and stress we deal with in this life can come from places we do not see or understand. It is easy to get caught up in the moment and let emotions and/or thoughts invade our being that steal our peace and joy. Before we know it, the stress feels like its too much; The body feels tired and weary; The mind is cloudy and down cast. Yet, as the Lord spoke to me, I knew His will for you was to find rest in Him today; To pause and take a moment to open your heart and mind to Jesus, allowing His living waters from heaven to pour in, on, and through you.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that all who reads this feels your presence; Feels your Spirit calling to their soul to come and find rest in you. I pray that even if doubt or voices in their head begin saying, "You don’t have to listen to this” or "You don’t need this”, that Your voice becomes louder. I pray Your voice invites them to rest in you and find peace in the fact that all things are in Your hands, and they do not have to fear or carry the weight of this life. I pray for a true experience of refreshing. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, I pray this. Amen!
